Chapter 1

I'd like to tell you a story about a friend of mine, the nicest person you could ever meet.

She was bullied a lot in school, causing her to become severely depressed...

It's better if I tell you everything that happened, so bear with me.

It all starts when I first met her. She was a new kid at our school, so naturally nobody talking to her much on her first day. My friends and I had seen her, and at lunch we began to talk.

"I think we should go talk to her... It must be rough being new..." I said, drinking my carton milk.

"Are you sure...? If we talk to her, people will probably start spreading bullshit about us for hanging around the new kid," My friend, Cyrus, stated bluntly.

"Who cares? Most people don't like us anyway," My other friend, Avery, countered.

"Guys, calm down..." I said, putting my milk down. "All we have to do is go say 'hello' and if we really don't want to, we don't have to talk to her ever again."

"Good, I doubt we will..." Cyrus muttered.

"Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning?" Avery laughed. "You're being more of a jerk than usual."

"I got a headache... Plus I had a rough morning," Cyrus sighed.
