This is my first writing here, so I would greatly appreciate some constructive criticism. Thank you!
Cold shivers running down your back
Blood turns to ice
Veins, frozen rivers
Waiting, suspense, terror
An icicle hanging in the frozen air
A sharp sound escapes your lips
Quiet, then louder, and finally, it's unbearable
The one thing you dread most
Beckons you with a hand full of deathly claws
They tap you on the cheek
Ever so gently
Stroking your neck
Like a statue, you stay still
A perfect, unmoving silhouette
Is cast against the wall
Fingers lace around, delicately rubbing your throat
And then he strikes
Another shriek echoes around the ever-so-dark room
The metallic scent of blood taints the air
There is a long silence
A man offers you his hand.
He is your lover.
