I don't know where I'm at
I'm standing at the back
And I'm tired of waiting
Waiting here in line, hoping that I'll find what I've been chasing.

She stood at the back, not knowing to do. She wanted to face the sea of people, she really did.

Something always held her back.

He was always in the center of attention, but he never liked it. He wanted to meet the kids who stood at the back, the wallflowers, the slackers and the anti-socials.

Something always held him back.

I shot for the sky
I'm stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I'm gonna fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Never know why it's coming down, down, down.

She tried to step on stage. She attempted multiple auditions. She took every chance like she never had one. She even attended classes on how to be a social butterfly.

All she got was more criticism about herslef, and, hell did she want that.

He took volunteering work. He did interviews about the outsiders. He created multiple films and stories about the outcast.

All he got was more audiences, more people worshipping him. That was the opposite of what he wanted.

Not ready to let go
Cause then I'd never know
What I could be missing
But I'm missing way too much
So when do I give up what I've been wishing for.

Five years later, she was the most popular girl in the school. She had tons of friends and worshippers and she felt happy. This was her dream, after all.

A part of her missed her old, quiet life. Flipping through her pictures, she smiled at a certain picture. There was a boy in jeans and a black t-shirt. He was the Prince of the school. He eyes were emerald green, blue speckles around it. He was beautiful.

Five years later, he became the drummer of one of the school's band (which was not famous, by the way). He enjoyed the peaceful life.

Sometimes, when he looked into his yearbooks from the past years, he noticed a girl at the back, hiding herself behind the crowd and far away from the stage. Her eyes were of a longing shade, he noticed.

I shot for the sky
I'm stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I'm gonna fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Never know why it's coming down, down, down.
Oh I am going down, down, down
I can't find another way around
And I don't want to hear the sound, of losing what I never found.

He dashed, she ran.

The two of them were currently racing through a grass medoww. He laughed, and she pounced onto him, pushing them both down the hill.

They weren't happy.

But they were content with what they had.

Love and completion.

I shot for the sky
I'm stuck on the ground
Why do I try, I know I'm gonna fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
I'll never know why it's coming down, down, down.

Now, he didn't fear for what he didn't have, nor did she care if she had anyone's attention.

They had each other.

Nothing could stop them, even though they were falling down.

I shot for the sky
I'm stuck on the ground
Why do I try, I know I'm gonna fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
I never know why it's coming down, down, down.
