Dark Clouds Swallow The Moon
Dark clouds swallow the moon;
Ghosts of light flicker through.
But the groaning wind sweeps
All the black clouds past,
And into darkness, the moon is consumed.
I turn my eyes up to the moon;
No light filters through.
As the biting wind cuts my skin
With lashes of rain and ice,
And I beg the moon, show me the way.
All my eyes meet is dark,
And I hear the low moan of the wind.
